Senior Pastor

By God’s grace, I was brought to Lord of Life in June 2021 to serve as Senior Pastor. My
family and I are excited to partner with God’s people in sharing the good news of Jesus
and God’s grace into the community where we are placed. I am humbled to be a part of
the ministry team here at Lord of Life.

My family consists of myself, my dear wife Carrie, and our daughter and son. We have
lived all over, from Utah, to Georgia, Missouri, and now Kansas. We love spending time
together as a family and enjoy a lot of different activities.
​
I am a graduate from Texas Tech University and a two time graduate of Concordia
Seminary, St. Louis (Master of Divinity and Doctor of Ministry). I have been blessed to
serve two congregations previously, one in Logan, Utah, and the other in Lilburn,
Georgia (outskirts of Atlanta). I also served as an Admissions Counselor at Concordia
Seminary, St. Louis prior to arriving at Lord of Life.

God has so much happening at Lord of Life, and it's exciting to serve Jesus here. God has
given us a wonderful staff, great leaders, and faithful congregation members who want to
grow as disciples and grow more disciples. As we emphasize growing through worship,
bible reading, and prayer, I am humbled to be a part of all that Jesus is doing here.

Vicar

I have recently began serving Lord of Life as Vicar after being installed in August of 2023.  While I am new to the staff, I have been a member here since early 2012.  It was through small groups here I formed many great friendships most importantly with my wife Jordan. God has blessed our family with 2 children, Lena and Caleb.

               For many years I have been involved with various service and outreach teams here and I am excited to continue that work as I study to become a Specific Ministry Pastor with a focus in worship and outreach.

Mission, Family & Outreach 

I have had the honor of serving at Lord of Life since August of 2020 overseeing Missions, Family, & Outreach. I have served the church for nearly 20 years in various capacities (DCE) including a 3 year stint as a full-time missionary to Costa Rica.

My wife Kari and I have been married for 18 years and we have 4 children: Avery (13), Aiden (12), Adler (10), and Allie (8).  We love all things outdoors, gardening, watching movies together, playing games, living in the country, and being a family. 

My heart is to see families develop and grow in their walk with Jesus and serve the world.  I have a passion for missions and to see God use us in incredible ways.  We are excited to be a part of the Lord of Life family and to serve the community in and around His church.  We know the Holy Spirit is working in the midst of all this and we are honored to be a part of it.

EEC Director

I was blessed to join the Lord of Life family in 2016.  I’m passionate about teaching children Christ’s love, and helping parents bring Christ into all aspects of their child’s learning. I graduated from the University of Kansas, where I earned a BS in Journalism with a minor in Business.

In 2005 I entered the field of Early Childhood, while concurrently earning my certifications in Early Childhood Administration and Parent Education. I love the ever-changing mind and growth of preschoolers. Each day is an adventure!

My husband, Brent and I have been married for 25 years and we have 4 children. My family loves spending time at the lake in Minnesota or going to KU football, basketball and volleyball games. Rock Chalk! In my free time I enjoy reading, hiking and traveling.

Finance Director

My employment at Lord of Life began in 1997. At that time I filled the role of the part-time bookkeeper. From there I moved to a full time position in the areas of finance, administration, and facility management. I retired after 25 years in 2022 and now serve part-time as the Director of Finance.

My husband, Philip, and I are both native to Kansas. In our early years of marriage we moved every five years and have called Iowa, New York, and Indiana home. We have two grown children, four granddaughters and one grandson that I spend as much time as possible with.

I have a passion for sports, construction, animals, and the outdoors. Philip and I enjoy fishing, hiking, and traveling. We also love spending time with our family and friends.

Worship Director

Hi, I've been the worship leader/ music director here at Lord of Life for 8+ years, happily married to my wife, Christy for 7 years. We have a two year old daughter and a three year old German Shepherd to complete our family. During the week I work as an Occupational Therapist. My family and I together enjoy most outdoor activities, traveling, and spending time with friends and family. When left to my own devices, I play music, write and record songs, hunt, fish, etc... all usually with a cup of coffee in tow.

Connections Coordinator

I joined the Lord of Life staff in Sept 2022. It is an honor to serve with such an amazing group. As a trained DCE, former missionary, and long-time church volunteer, I’m passionate about pointing people to Jesus and connecting them within the Body of believers.

I have a BA in parish education and administration and an MA in teaching ESL. I have worn many different hats in my life including youth director, missionary/ESL teacher in Asia, university professor, homeschool teacher, HOA board member, and more. But the thing I enjoy the most are the opportunities to connect with people and hear their story.

Scott and I have been married since 2005. Our daughter and son keep us busy, and continually remind us how little we know about parenting. I’m passionate about seeing God in creation and can often be found on the trail behind our house marveling over the different native flowers and tree shapes seen through the seasons.

Communications Coordinator

I have been on staff at Lord of Life since January 2023.

I originally decided to join staff after 6 months of praying for God to open a door for me to get involved in Ministry. He answered that through a series of events that lead me to joining the team!

I am married to my beautiful wife Lauren & she has been such a wonderful support in my journey here. In my free time, I enjoy designing board games as a hobby and playing Disc Golf with my wife.
